Renamath v2.0 Documentation

If you've just unzipped RENAMATH.ZIP, you should have:
RENAMATH.EXE -- The actual program
RENAMATH.DOC -- What you're reading now
CLANWEPS.DOC -- Unofficial arena stats for Clan weapons
The terms Battletech, Battlemech, Mech, and Solaris VII are

regarding this program.
About Renamath
Renamath is an offshoot of my earlier Mekmath program, which
calculated the efficiency of a mech design based on a formula I
thought up one night. The purpose of Renamath is to calculate
the ARENA efficiency of a mech design. As anyone who's played
Battletech using the Solaris VII rules knows, a good Battletech
design is not always a good Solaris design.
Renamath Requirements
Renamath will run on any IBM compatible computer regardless of
processor, monitor type, RAM, or speed. A working knowledge of
the Solaris VII rules is a must.
Programming History
Version 1.0: Original written using BASICA
Version 2.0: Rewrote using Microsoft Quick Basic 4.50; Made
several changes regarding the way the program
calculates heat and damage in order to more
accurately reflect Solaris rules.
Future Upgrades, Registration, and all that
Upgrades in the works include a version that will save and
print a list of mechs from most to least efficient, as well as a
tie-in with a mech design program so that you can know the
efficiency as you design a mech.
There is currently NO registration fee for this program, nor
will there ever be one. I wrote this program for my own personal
use, and decided to share it with the rest of the free world.
All future upgrades will be uploaded to BBSs that carry Renamath.
Feel free to distribute this program as you wish, with a couple
of stipulations:
FIRST: Charge no fee for this file. If you paid for this, we
both got ripped off. Drop me a line and complain.
SECOND: Leave everything alone. Don't mess with my stuff,
man.
If you would like to send me money, or just a comment, my

Anyone who writes me will go on my list of cool people, and will
be eligible to receive upgrades c/o the US postal service. BBSs
who send me info regarding their BBS will go on my list of BBSs
to upload upgrades to. Anyone who asks will get the QB45 source
code for Renamath, as well as the source code for future
upgrades. And, as a special bonus to people who send me
suggestions, tell me about bugs, or give me money, their name
MIGHT be included in future documentation as loyal users who
helped me out.
